This is a quick review of the 20000mah Redmi 18W Fast Charge Power Bank by Xiaomi. The redmi 20000mah powerbank Model PB200LZM supports 18W dual fast charging making it an indispensable device for times when you will be away from electricity.
Unlike other powerbanks, this allows you to charge two devices at the same time and when it’s drained, you can top off the powerbank via micro USB or USB type C port.

This is the Redmi 20,000mAh Power Bank. As the name implies, it comes with a 74Wh 3.7V 20,000mAh Li-Polymer battery which has a rated capacity of 12,000mah.
The package is quite simple. You get the power bank, a micro USB charging cable and user manuals.
The device comes with a power button, 4 led lights and dual input and dual output ports. These dual output ports makes it possible to charge two devices at the same time.
The dual input ports makes it possible to charge the powerbank using a regular microUSB cable or a USB Type C cable.
The power bank supports 2 way 18W fast charging meaning that you can charge the powerbank really quickly with an 18W wall charger and you can also fast charge your devices up to 18W if your device supports fast charging.
Out of the box, I was able to fast charge the powerbank in 5hrs 48minutes using this Xiaomi 18W charger and a USB type C cable. When the powerbank was completely depleted, charging from zero to 100 was complete in 6hrs 46mins
Do please note that brand puts the fast charging time at 7.5hrs using an 18W charger and the microUSB charging cable in the box. A regular 10W charger will fully charge the powerbank in 10.6hrs.
The brand claims that the powerbank can charge the Redmi K20 Pro’s 4,0000mah battery 3.5times. In my testing I was able to charge my Mi Note 10 Pro’s 5,260mah battery 2.9 times before the powerbank died.
The major issues with this powerbank are it weights 440g due to the battery capacity and it only supports 18W fast charging in one port at a time. Meaning if you plug in two devices at the same time, fast charging will be deactivated.
Also I think the fast charging protocol is based on Qualcomm technology. If your device or wall charger does not support Qualcomm Quick Charge, the 18W fast charging might not work and you’ll be restricted to just 10W charging.
This retails for like $20 – $30 depending on where you purchase it. I got mine from Heemzytech here in Nigeria for N13,000 (shipping included)
Less I forget make sure to use the product authentication feature on the back of the box, to verify the authenticity of your product. Your powerbank is authentic if the security code has only been queried once as you can see here.
