Lattafa’s Ajwad is a polarizing perfume said to be inspired by Mancera’s Rose Vanille. Lattafa took that DNA and twisted it properly to create their own scent. The notes for Ajwad include Fruits, Jasmine, Rose, Amber, Vanilla, Musk and Cedarwood
It opens sweet, fruity, soapy, metallic with lots of woody white florals, spicy green rose, amber and chocolatey-vanilla. It gets quite tart and green after like 30 minutes.
The white florals in here are quite heavy and super reminiscent of perfumes that have the Armani Prive Rouge Malachite DNA.
The drydown is sweet, sexy, feminine, vanillic, musky with prominent white florals and a touch of metal and menthol. The combo of white florals, musk and vanilla makes this lean feminine to my nose.
With up to 4 hrs of 1 feet projection and 15hrs longevity on skin, Ajwad performs really well.
The strong metallic scent of the perfume which reminds me of iron rich blood had me decluttering this perfume immediately. It was giving blood sucking demon vibes. I just couldn’t deal
Many months later, I have to admit that the metallicness of the perfume has reduced immensely.
Up next is Fakhar Rose by Lattafa.
