I bought Maison Alhambra’s Precious Gold because it was about half the price of Lattafa’s Yara Moi.
Both perfumes are said to be duping Marc Jacob’s Perfect Intense.
Precious Gold opens like a sweet, creamy, woody melon and what smells like a ylang-ylang accord.
I get a bit of earthy patchouli accompanied by creamy amber and vanilla after 5 minutes
That opening remains the highlight for quite a long time especially in the air and for some reason I just find it nauseating after a while especially when the weather is hot.
There’s a bit of powderiness to this after 2 hrs making this a powdery, creamy, woody melon and floral scent.
7hrs later. Precious Gold is serving creamy musky amber, patchouli and melon and ylang-ylang.
At this point, it sometimes reminds me of the Armani Prive Rouge Malachite DNA due to the strong smoky, yellow floral accord.
The nauseating woods and melon accord could be toned down by not overspraying and by spraying far away from nostrils
This is yet another fragrance that seems to do well when the weather is cool.
In comparison to Precious Gold, I find Yara Moi to be more exaggerated on the woody melon accord plus it has this slight salty aquatic touch that I don’t get in Precious Gold.
Also Precious Gold is way too creamy compared to Lattafa’s Yara Moi
Projection: 2hrs
Longevity on skin: 12hrs +
