Maison Alhambra Encode Blue Review Mont Blanc Explorer Ultra Blue Dupe

Maison Alhambra Encode Blue just misses the mark for me. Thankfully the perfume it’s trying to dupe has issues too so….

According to folks at Fragrantica, Maison Alhambra’s Encode Blue is a dupe for Mont Blanc’s Explorer Ultra Blue.

It opens airy, fresh, blue, floral, aromatic and somewhat zesty with something foul that smells like stale African Bush Pear which is a staple here in Nigeria during corn season.

I can’t tell whether the zestiness is coming from mint or citrus.

This smells like a really bad attempt at making a shower gel fragrance for men because of that pear note and by the time the salty aquatic notes quick in, shit gets worse.

One hour in, Encode blue settles into a powdery musky and ambery salty aquatic fragrance with the pear note markedly subdued.

2-3hrs later, it projects softly like a fruity, green, salty aquatic amber scent

By the 4th hour, the salty aquatic accord is almost gone leaving the perfume smelling a bit sweet, creamy, woody and herbal with that powdery musk still present.

It stays this way, till the very end on my skin around the 12th hour.

If you’re in the market for a stress-free shower gel scent, please skip this one.

It’s just not giving at all.

Do have a nice day guys, bye.
