Lattafa’s Ajayeb Dubai Portrait Perfume Review

Lattafa’s Ajayeb Dubai Portrait opens like a fresh, slightly plasticky, aromatic watery pineapple scent with a cocktail of juicy mango and citrus immediately creeping in.

There’s a bit of creaminess to it after 20 mins.

Despite being lauded as a mangoey scent, Pineapple is the highlight on my skin and to my nose.

This is yet another perfume that reminds me of a less intense Khaltat Al Arabia Royal Blends by Lattafa Perfumes after about 1hour has passed.

Think of it as a musky, powdery, spicy Khaltat Al Arabia Royal Blends.

At about 3hrs in, it turns into a feminine musky, creamy, woody dusty vanilla scent and starts to play hide and seek.

One minute, it’s easily detectable on my skin and the next it’s gone. Maybe there’s some nose blindness factor to this.

12hrs later, it smells somewhat soapy, musky and menstrual.

Personally I don’t find this intriguing enough to add to my wishlist of full bottles.

I’ll see you guys in my next video. Bye guys.

Top : Orange, Lemon
Heart: Jasmine, Mango, Osmanthus
Base : Amber, Sandalwood, Musk, Oud

UPDATE: This is me explaining what I mean by menstrual drydown and why it bothers me.

One it’s NOT a bad smell.

Once upon a time, I spent way too much time around females and that time made me notice some things which the average guy probably doesn’t pick up on.

I can tell when some females are on their period due to this musky, metallic and somewhat sweaty aroma they give off around that time of the month.

In discussing this with a female friend recently, I came to understand that this is the pheromones that some women give off during that time of the month.

I repeat this is NOT a bad smell but I’m always in head about how weird it is having female pheromones coming off a guy.

I hope that explains it.

Apologies for it coming off super negative in the video 🙏🏾🙏🏾. That was not my intention at all.
